The young up and coming Bino Rexlezz debuts his first tape, “Way Up”, hosted by DJ Chill USA. With the first song, “Bring Me Down”, Bino describes how he is facing adversity in the streets as well as the rap game as he makes his “way up” with the help of Luh Spazz. Bino shows his range when singing a smooth melody over the track, “Loyalty”, talking about whether people he surrounds himself with are there for him, and then rapidly switching to a machine gun cadence as he delivers his lyrics. We see Rexlezz open about the death of his cousin and how it was a turning point for him in his life making him no longer wanting to be loved in “No Love”. The feature from Rosae adds an even more emotional testimony to the track. Bino and Rich Mula tip toe on “For Nothin” which features a short and sweet guitar sample and melancholic vocal sample. The tape as a whole is more down beat as Rexlezz is introducing himself to the world while telling his brutal story.
The Nashville Native Shows promising potential as he makes his transition from street life into the life of an entertainer. He is aware of the back stabbers and “snakes” but presses on through the journey on his “Way Up”. This tape encompasses all the qualities one looks for when speculating who is going to pop next. We might not have to look any further because when Bino Rexlezz and DJ Chill team-up, the two together are unstoppable.
